Executive Producer
Producer with emphasis in Project Development. Licensed in Industrial Engineering in the University of Costa Rica. He obtained a speciality in Internet Project Developments and Multimedia in the Fak D’Art Media Arts Institute, in Barcelona, and a grade of Technician in Sound Recording in the Escuela Microfusa. He has studied Fine Arts in the University of Costa Rica, Audiovisual Production in the Technological Institute of Costa Rica and Sreenplay for Cinema and TV. Consultant in Quality Systems and Project Coordinator for Multimedia and Internet in Techonlogical Information companies. He is the coordinator of ICAT (Cultural Identity, Art and Technology Programme) of the National University of Costa Rica where he is in charge of the educational, investigation, production and international cooperation programmes-

Documentary, cinema and video producer In 1990, sh founds with María José Álvarez, “LUNA FILMS” the only independent production company of cinema and video of women in Nicaragua, dedicating herself at the production and direction of institutional and prívate documentaries , reports, advertising spots and educational campaigns. Desde el Barro al Sur, September 2002, video documentary about the Nicaraguan migration to Costa Rica, awarded Best documentary (shared) in the 5th ICARO Festival, Central American Audiovisual Award in Guatemala, November 2002. Best Sound and Best Edition in the 5th ICARO Festival, Central American Audiovisual in Guatemala, November 2002.

Sound editor since 1990, regular colaborator of the prestigious portuguese director Manoel de Oliveira. Daughter of the Director of Photography Jacques Loiseleux, graduated from IDHEC. She is professor of La Fémis. Member of the Jury of the Belfort in 2003. International Film Festival . Cesar Award in France for Best Edition for the film “Un couple épatant". She has edited around 30 films , four of them having participated in the Cannes Film Festival.. Her filmography as an editor includes the last 17 films of Manuel de Oliveira.

Studies in the Escuela De Comunicaciones of the Universidad de San Carlos of Guatemala. Workshops in edition, soundtrack photography and television production Since 2003 Subdirector of Projects and Media Director of the Casa Comal Cultural Center, Guatemala. General Producer of the Central American Film Festival ICARO, since 1998. Production Coordinator of the Documentary Department of the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión, Cuba 2003. Director of Production of Pepsi, in BBDO Agency, Guatemala, from 2001 to 2002. Among his works in cinema: production and art direction of the feature film “Las Cruces…Poblado Proximo” (2005) of Rafael Rosal (Guatemala), Producer of the documentary “The All In The Small” (2004) of Su Friedrich (EEUU), of the film “La Casa De Enfrente” (2004) from Elias Jiménez (Guatemala), of the short films “Gente Que Llora S.A.” (2001) of Hatem Khraiche and “La Venganza Sangrienta De Kyoshi” (2001) of Leonor Urdaneta.
HUMBERTO JIMÉNEZ PENHA

Graduated from the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba (1994). Director of Production of that same institution (2002-2004), Advertising Creative in Imagen Publicidad (2000) and CEM Comunicaciones (1999), Vicepresident of the Asociación Nicaragüense de Cineastas (1999-2001), Producer of the programme CINERAMA (1997-1999), Coordinator of Cine Fora of the Universidad Centroamericana (1994-1997). In his filmography he is screenplay writer of “La Vida es Silbar”, script that was awarded the Hubert Bals Fund and NHK Award of Sundance Institute, and received more than 17 awards in Internatiional Festivals; “El Sueco”, Project financed by Hubert Bals; “14 Abriles Locos”; “Caribe”; Solari XXX”; “Entre Minas”, “Managua” y “Granada”. As screenplay writer and director of “El Hombre Perdido” and “Los machos también lloran”. Direction assistant in “For All-El Trampolín de la Victoria”; “Carla’s Song”; Mujeres Apasionadas” and “Once Rosas”. Producer of “Amores”; “El Concierto Necesario”; “Blanco Organdí”; “Comandante Octubre” and “Aprender Haciendo”. He has also taken part in more than 20 fiction and documentary short films..
